And so I moved the dark side in

And so I moved the dark side in,
My farthest moon, eclipsed so long
In that cold dark I form’d and broke
Deep bonds twixt I and those long gone.
The nature of those early bonds
As I did learn those darker days
Were of the type that do prevent
Each other going separate ways.
When Fear doth rule, Confusion speaks:
I sought Control, and its dictates.
My growth did wither, orbiting
One one sole point, and thus stagnates
Not one alone, but any group’d
Along with me who thus disclaim
The knowledge or rewards that grow
From seizing Life’s steed’s snapping reins.
But one can only blind himself
For just so long, refuse to hear
The call of that wild stallion’s song
That resonates on awak’ning ears.
For some the notes that strike do seem
Discordant, as they do disrupt
The order that we’ve striven for
That forms the cage we’ve used that kept
Our own creative force at bay,
A sullen prisoner at best;
For some the music is the key
That turns the caged one into Guest
Unfettered, springing from the moon
That froze, eclipsed with fearful heart
One finds the harmony and joy
Resulting from that risk-filled start.
Of all beginnings, none else share
Life’s fullest promise as a mate
As that which blends the pain and joy
From shedding Fear’s cold frozen state.
