We thank you God for the prophet Child
Who, born in ancient, troubled days,
Showed us that hearts both fierce and mild
Are lights for those who’ve lost their way.
That love and anger can revise
The darkness in our burdened hearts;
Withstands our faults; helps us devise
Illumined paths for Peace to start.
So! Gather here and seek the Peace
Shown through the prophet Child’s days.
And, cleared through darkness’ release –
Go! Seek to love The Child’s Way.
